Growing Old....

i was sitting at Barnes and Noble today when i saw and older lady walking up to Starbucks pushing a walker. She had her daughter or friend with her that was helping her up the ramp. She proceeded to comment , "this this is so hard to push on carpet," when her helper asked if she was ok. i don't know why but at that moment i began to realize that at one point in her life, she didn't have a walker. sometime ago, she wasn't old and frail. she was young, possible thin, beautiful. then i began to think about what i would look like at her age. i realized that wow, time is flying by. i mean, 6 years ago, i had just turned 20. 6 years before that, i was 14! man, if i don't stop and look around me, if i dont stop to enjoy all that God has provided for me, if i continue to worry about life's little imperfections, what i am going to do with my life, where i am going to be, who i am going to marry... i will eventually miss out. it was a definite eye opener today. still i can not ignore the realities of life. but, i can take a look around me and be grateful for the life i lead and know that the One True God has my life in his hands..
